Services to Landlords

Threshold’s Access Housing Unit offers a subscription service aimed at the needs of accommodation providers in the private rented sector.  The purpose of the service is to deliver clear and informed impartial advice to Landlords, Agents and Solicitors.

There will be no restriction on the number of times an accommodation provider can contact us.  There is no scaled price structure for multiple-property owners.

On subscription each member will receive a ‘landlords pack’ which will include, cover letter, information brochures, rent book, guide to renting, useful contacts and a PRTB form

Services offered to subscribers will include:

  • Advice by email, by appointment and over the phone
  • Advice on mediation with tenants
  • Advice on the Private Residential Tenancies Board (PRTB)
  • Advice on the Residential Tenancies Act 2004

We do not expect to provide an advocacy service to property owners and / or their representatives as the Advice Office offers same to tenants.

Our landlords service will help to ensure that accommodation providers and their advisors are fully aware of their rights and responsibilities.

Threshold was founded in 1978 and is a not-for-profit organisation whose aim is to secure a right to housing, particularly for households experiencing problems of poverty and exclusion.
